Description The aim was to present findings on the evaluation of body composition of female population in the Czech Republic in terms of risk of obesity. As basic criteria were selected body composition parameters, which we can describe the degree of obesity in different age groups of the reference population sample. Subsequently, we investigated the influence of selected indicators of obesity physical activity respondents determined by a questionnaire. The research group consisted of 317 women, mean age 43 (SD 19.6), weight 67.5 kg (SD 11.5) and height 166 cm (SD 7.6), which were divided into 6 age groups. For basic indicators of obesity were chosen parameters: Body Mass Index (BMI), >= 25 kg/m2, % body fat (PBF) >= 28 %, the ratio of waist and hip (WHR) >= .85 a fitness score (FS) < 70 points, measured by bioimpedance device InBody 720. Based on the measured results (p < .05)), we can conclude that the values of indicators of obesity BMI, PBF, WHR increase with increasing age of women. Index value of fitness FS conversely decreased with increasing age but culminate around 40 years of age. The positive effect of physical activity showed statistically significant for all indicators of obesity.
