Description In our study, we analyzed the use of different tests of aerobic fitness, focusing on a broad segment of the population. In the analysis, we worked with groups of Running tests, Walk Tests and Step Tests. The selection was made through a analysis of previously measured data. Subsequent selection was done on the basis of predetermined criteria, which stemmed from scientific knowledge and experience of examiners. As the criteria were determined using a wide age range; material, time and cost efficiency; the possibility to measure more probands at the same time; an adequate number of examiners given to the number of people tested and high validity and reliability of the test. For the purposes of our tests came out as the most appropiate the McArdle's Queens College Step Test.
