Description Media are one of the important factors which influence legal system and judiciary. Mass media though have the power of agenda-setting and processing the chosen topics to the public in the way they choose. At the same time, media are in-between collectors informing the public about the news from the legal branch, which helps to ensure the certain level of legal awareness among the general public. By this process, media also give the space to the judges for their explanations or comments about legal or social topics, while these messages are delivered to a large amount of people. On the other hand, the media can transmit misleading shortcuts, simplifications or transmit the view of only specific societal groups. Based on the in-depth analysis, interviews with the judges and journalists, the author concludes that cooperation of judiciary and the media (while respecting the specifics of both professions) can be mutually beneficial.
