| Description | The contribution addressed some main aspects and features concerning the studies of children and family life in antiquity. It focused on the late antique western Roman empire with the emphasis laid on characteristic perception of freeborn children in the life of the family and society and on the frame of children’s life that was created by the late Roman law and the central institution of this frame - the patria potestas. |
