Description Authors give overview of current management of Paget´s disease of bone-pamidronate, alendronate, risedronate, ibandronate, zolendronate. The most powerful agent seems to be zoledronate in one shot drip 5 mg given in 15 minutes. It´s effect is in 93 % lasting one year. The authors used clodronate, alendronate and zolendronate in a group of 26 patients in the mean age 50-87 years. They performed 13 surgeries (osteosynthesis 4, total hip replacement 5, total knee replacement 4). The autors discuss other options of the management- denosumab, neridronate, tocilizumab.
