| Description | The revolution in visual arts, which influenced all of its forms, took place in particular as photography entered the realm of visual means. It was photography, making an infinite number of enlargements possible, that inspired Walter Benjamin to write his famous essay “The Work of Art in the Age of Mechanical Reproduction”. In the present digital world, the issue of reproducibility is inherent in each and every digitalized work. The analogue photography remains a medium of insiders and collectors who appreciate fine variations that give enlargements their hallmark of originality. |
