| Description | The paper addresses impact of multilingualism in the European Union on integration of healthcare. Trade in pharmaceuticals and medical devices, migration of physicians and nureses, urgent treatment of tourists and intentional medical tourism deserve our attention. Various methods of surrogate communicaton, use of auxiliary languages and systematic translation developed for this purpose. International organizations contribute to related cooperation, addressing also language issues. |
