Description If voting changed anything, it would be made illegal, according to popular anarchist saying. However, you can meet those, whose political philosophy stands principally against governance, by the ballot boxes. This lecture will briefly focus on view points of various anarchist traditions from Stirner's ego-anarchism or Rothbardian anarcho-capitalism and ethics of liberty, through libertarian municipalism (connected with the name of Murray Bookchin), to more radical left-wing social anarchist movements. It will be my objective to show the motivations that allow anarchists to take part in voting, but also to refuse reduction of their animosity towards democratic elections to plain unwillingness to delegate power.
