| Description | The paper presents theoretical and methodological basements of the research focused on the late socialist countryside. Focus on changes of the social life in several villages in the south-western Moravia can help to understand principles, which provided the continuity of the rural communities in the background of the social changes. Issues such as political and power relations or the principles of modernization are also reflected. Preliminary conclusions of the research will be presented in the paper. Beside of the archive and field research, reflection of wider spatial and time contexts of the countryside development tend to be necessary in understanding of recent phenomenons such as the post-socialist nostalgia. |
