Description In many cases, visual identifications of the deceased and evaluations of some important findings in forensic medicine are complicated by mutilation injuries to the face (e.g. road traffic accidents, falls from height, gun shots, explosions, slash injuries, etc.), thermal changes, decomposition and other specific changes. However, forensic medicine has a range of standard reconstruction techniques available in various modifications, underestimated so far, that allow adjustments of the facial part of the skull and its consequent visual identification. Unfortunately, the importance of standard reconstruction techniques has not been adequately appreciated in the practice of forensic medicine, although its methods are technologically easy-to-use and affordable while also offering excellent results.
