| Description | The International Anthropological Congress of Dr. Aleš Hrdlička is traditionally held every 10 years to commemorate the birth of a famous American anthropologist born in Humpolec, Czech Republic. In the year 2019 we are going to celebrate his 150th birth anniversary. This Congress is being organized by a common effort of Czech Anthropological Society, authorities of Humpolec as well as representatives of anthropological departments at most Czech universities. Dr.Hrdlička’s motto – “All mankind is of one origin” – precisely reflects the contents and the message of this Congress and conveys the ideas of humanity and understanding among nations. The logo of the Congress, which shows stylized linked up human figures with different skin colour, is supposed to depict the common origin of mankind, their variety and equality. |
