| Description | The presentation discussed results from the second wave of qualitative research conducted in Brno suburban areas, focusing on how the mayors of villages and urban districts interpret their development and the role of the local governance in the process of residential suburbanisation. We use the metaphor of the "pioneers of development" in order to grasp their "loneliness" in the process, their dominant narrative of stewardship role and the narrative definition of the boundaries of their responsibility and power. |
