| Description | The contribution summarizes why it is important to inform the public about legal proceedings, and offers an contextual view on the basic mechanisms of functioning of the media and on the public's expectations of the judiciary. The second part discusses selected problems of media coverage of criminal proceedings (especially the question of the presumption of innocence in the media) and formulates recommendations for public prosecution and courts. |
