| Description | This paper reports on a part of results of the project Exaktní hodnocení aplikační relevance judikatury (GA17-20645S). In this project, we used network analysis to quantitativaly map the citation practice in Czech apex courts (how and how often do the chosen courts refer to other judicial decisions). Our data suggest that the citation practice of Czech apex courts resembles the citation practice of CJEU and SCOTUS. They also suggest that while there seems to be a method in the ways the Constitutional Court refers to past decisions, the Supeme Court of the Czech Republic does not seem to follow any method. |
