| Description | The interdisciplinary workshop focuses on a series of issues related to the devastation of the Amazon, which generates not only great environmental damage, but also a negative impact on the most vulnerable groups in the region. It should be noted that the vast majority of the affected population represents ethnic minorities and other socially disadvantaged groups. Deforestation in the Amazon rainforest is currently a global problem whose significance transcends regional borders and is becoming global. As pointed out by local and foreign Universities expert studies, as well as by many other government institutions and NGOs, this is a fundamental challenge that we must face together. |
