| Description | The lecture was created for the spring Course of Art History organized by the Moravian Gallery in Brno, which is intended for the general public. At the beginning, I explained the circumstances that established the Arts & Crafts movement (the Industrial Revolution, the theories of Pugin and Ruskin), and then I talked about William Morris, his company and The Pre-Raphaelite Brotherhood. At the end, a short excursion was included on how this movement established itself in America. |
