Citation
Description Due to the venue - between Prague, Bratislava and Vienna - Between East and West: Traditions of Central European Space? The Central European space is often mentioned in literature as a magical meeting place of cultures, ideas and art. It also forms a political union that refers to common values, ideas and roots. While in the cultural sphere there is a great deal of evidence for the existence of Central European uniqueness, the situation in the aesthetic sphere is not nearly so clear-cut. To what extent is Central European aesthetic thought influenced by other Euro-American schools of thought? Is there anything at all that could be described as Central European aesthetics?
