Description The present paper deals with the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on consumer behavior in the online world. First, data from statistics will be analyzed, based on which the shift of purchases to the online environment is obvious. The short passage will also be devoted to the range that consumers buy - its variability in the wake of a pandemic. The article will also discuss the issue of intermediary e-shops. First, these e-shops will be defined, then the problems with purchases on these e-shops will be discussed. It is with intermediary e-shops that European law and national law are often circumvented. The text also deals with fraudulent e-shops. The conclusion of the article is devoted to the out-of-court settlement of consumer disputes in the Czech Republic and the EU.
