| Description | From the middle of the 18th century, unprecedented development of the textile industry started in Brno, and its worldwide fame brought it the nickname of Moravian Manchester. Over more than 200 years, the textile industrial history has been inscribed into the present-day fabric of the city in the form of original factories and splendid villas of industrialists as well as more or less revitalised brownfields. These are gradually becoming part of the historical and architectural heritage and education in the form of nature trails. |
