| Description | A way to meet the child's needs through Nonviolent Communication (NVC). We talk to the child as a partner, looking for the needs behind their behaviour, helping them to name their emotions and express their needs in words. We try to listen to his/her opinion, his/her problem, his/her anger... Similarly, in Nonviolent Communication, we adults try to express ourselves truthfully and to avoid the verbal manipulation, blackmail and "violence" that we are all used to communicating. |
