| Description | The paper deals with Marian theme in the early prose of Jakub Deml, a priest and poet in one person. The thematic analysis was carried out in the following works: Hrad smrti (1912), Domů (1912), Moji přátelé (1913), Pro budoucí poutníky a poutnice 1913), Tanec smrti (1914) a Miriam (1916). In these, the notion of inspiration by the figure of the Virgin Mary in specific motifs is explored and generalized on three levels: mother, sister, wife. |
