Description Lowland wetland meadows are among the most endangered biotopes in the Czech Republic. The main cause is primarily the decline of original methods of farming, targeted drainage, subsequent overgrowth by the invasion of bushes and trees, and the spread of aggressive plant species that displace endangered species of plants and animals. Appropriate care for meadow wetlands therefore consists mainly in maintaining their open character, which can be effectively carried out using grazing and mowing. Such appropriate care leads to the support of the biodiversity of wetland communities.
