Description The master thesis „Poisonous Plants in the Wild, in Households and in Schools“ is focused on outdoor and indoor toxic and similarly dangerous plants that a primary school child may come into contact with outdoors in the wild, at home or at school. According to the number of inquiries in toxicological information centers, the topic of plant toxicity is still a widespread issue. Plants are an integral part of nature, gardens and interiors, and accidents often happen in the form of poisoning, which can end tragically. The thesis is divided into two parts. The first theoretical part is devoted to the toxicity of plants, poisons and their effects on the human organism, first aid in case of poisoning and subsequent therapy. In the second practical part of the thesis, the main goal is to create an atlas of poisonous plants, based on a research of professional literature, field research and surveys of elementary schools. The atlas contains 108 plants, divided into outdoor and indoor plants. The thesis also includes a survey that focuses on which house plants are found in primary schools. The last part of the work is an informative educational poster for teachers about the most frequently occurring toxic plants in schools and the dangers they can cause through possible poisoning.
