| Description | In my paper I discuss the phenomenon of remembrance of Roman women as members of family groups between the 4th and the 6th century. My main aim is to establish what were the primary female roles which were preserved in the memory of the community and what female qualities were highlighted by the funerary plaques, frescoes, and mosaics from this period. In conclusion, the desired outcome is to create more precise picture of perception of Roman women by their family members with the help of comparison of written and visual sources. |
