Citation
Description This paper deals with the Czech minority and the Czech language in the village of Češko Selo in the Serbian Banat. Although the population of the village is constantly decreasing, the Czech language is still alive, thanks to the determination and perseverance of the descendants of the Czech frontiersmen who founded the village in the first half of the 19th century. The article gives a brief overview of the history of the Czech minority, education in Czech and the preservation of the Czech language and culture in the village. Cultural events and festivals that enliven the village are also mentioned.
