Description The development and availability of information and communication technologies, as well as the increasing technical literacy of the population, brings unprecedented opportunities to implement health-promoting eHealth interventions across diagnoses and medical disciplines. eHelath programs (1) are easily accessible; (2) are anonymous; (3) are available to people during their daily lives; (4) do not necessarily require the involvement of a health expert; (5) are less expensive; and (6) save time. However, their prevalence, ease of accessibility and media attention also create the illusion that often just downloading the app itself is enough to have an effect. It's like buying a new book that we don't read, but the library creates the illusion of knowledge. However, regardless of the availability and the quite justified enthusiasm for the use of eHelath in medicine, we come to a very fundamental question, as with any treatment and intervention, and that is to what extent the users of said applications and programs are adherent to the treatment and what are the factors that maximize the adherence of eHealth programs. Only knowledge of these factors can help practitioners and IT developers answer the question of for whom, when, with what disease and at what stage of the treatment and healing process eHealth interventions work. The results of the systematic review will be put in conjunction with the MUNI Healthy Minds and MOU-Mindcare studies, which are ongoing at the LF MU and Masaryk Cancer Institute.
