| Description | In my paper I discussed the systemic influence of Baltic studies on the import of Lithuanian culture into the Czech Republic. The development of these studies over the last 20 years shows that there is a slowly but steadily growing community of mediators and recipients of Lithuanian culture in the Czech Republic, who are actively importing Lithuanian cultural content into the Czech cultural and social public space. In my paper I have focused on the lesser known aspects of this process, in particular its syncretic nature, the relations of scholarly production with Lithuanian culture, the variety of imported content, the geocultural connections with Scandinavia and Russia, and the relations of active import and passive reception. |
