| Description | Communication between pharmacists and patients, healthy people, and healthcare professionals, providing information, advice and consultation is one of the main tasks of a pharmacist. Acronyms are an appropriate tool to help make the factual aspects of the problem easier and faster to remember. The paper discusses acronyms related to health problems – constipation (BOSS, DISH, FECES, FODMAP, OBST), acronyms related to another defecation disorder – diarrhoea (ZODIAC, BRAT) and acronyms applicable to both conditions (O, P, Q, R, S, T, U, V). |
