| Description | The aim of the presentation is to outline the state of contemporary Polish drama on selected examples of dramas (Martyna Wawrzyniak's Antihrdinky (2021), Piotr Froń's Safe Place (2022) and Przemysław Pilarski's Mezi statky (2022)) and to point out the means by which playwrights depict the crisis and conflict of the individual in the context of the contemporary social situation. The first of the aforementioned dramas reflects the position and role of women in Poland, the second reflects the period of the COVID-19 pandemic, and the last drama deals with the issue of Polish-Ukrainian relations. Contemporary Polish drama thus continues the phenomenon of previous years, when playwrights boldly and uncompromisingly portrayed the most pressing moments of Polish society in their texts. |
