| Description | This article examines the possibility of introducing a digital currency of the central bank in the Czech Republic in the context of the possible use of the digital euro and in relation to the possible entry of the Czech Republic into the euro area. First, the entry into the euro area is discussed as a general prerequisite for participation in the digital euro, which as an ECB project is already relatively far along in its possible introduction. However, the article discusses and analyses in general terms the factual and legislative possibilities for the introduction of a digital currency of the central bank in the Czech Republic without a link to the eurozone, but there is no real step towards the introduction of a digital crown in the Czech Republic. |
