Description Pain often occurs as an accompanying symptom of many diseases, especially in older age. The incidence of drug-drug interactions increases with the number of concomitant medications, almost exponentially. The simplification of the treatment regimen is greatly facilitated by ever-developing pharmaceutical technologies, such as transdermal drug systems. Modern dosage forms also make it possible to reduce the dose of the drug administered, thus reducing the incidence of adverse effects.
