| Description | The presentation will introduce paradata as a tool for improving questionnaire data collection. Drawing on the ongoing second wave of the Czech GGS-II, it focuses on differences between completing the survey on a mobile phone versus a desktop, using the new module on first reproductive experiences. The presentation will highlight the differences in time spent on individual questions and the share of respondents who returned to and edited their previous answers in the new module, which is still in the process of data collection. In our pilot study, we identified a problematic item where mobile users were more likely to go back and revise their answers. Based on our better understanding of the process, we redesigned the question format to be more user-friendly for mobile interfaces. Our findings illustrate the potential of paradata as a valuable tool for improving the quality and clarity of survey questions and for a deeper understanding of how respondents interact with the questionnaire. |
