Description Climate policy networks consist of organizations and their representatives that interact in different arenas of political contestation in an effort to influence climate policy. The interactions between these organizations include advocacy collaboration and information exchange, as well as interaction in professional or legacy media and, increasingly, in social media. This chapter presents key findings on tie formation, coalitions, influence, and policy learning in these networks. We also discuss how the organizations interact in media discourse networks and point to future directions in the study of climate policy networks, such as the use of multilayer network analysis to examine the interaction between policy networks, media discourse networks, and social media networks.
