| Description | This article should analyse the aspects of criminal procedure law in relation to crimes against the environment with a focus on criminal proceedings, specific aspects of detection and proof of these crimes, proceedings before the court and imposition of penalties. The influence of EU law will also be mentioned. In contrast to the substantive criminal law defining these crimes and penalties, this article should discuss how environmental crimes are handled within the criminal justice system and what the legal and practical challenges are in prosecuting its offenders. |
