| Description | People across cultures use solitude and sensory deprivation to induce special experiences, whether directly in a religious context or outside of it, intentionally or unintentionally. In this lecture, I will present my research on the impact of solitude and sensory deprivation on the human psyche and experience, and I will attempt to further clarify the role of culture and psychological dispositions. |
