Description The work is dedicated to the study of the contextualized use of the personal pronoun we. The aim is to get to know the nature of the group of which a parliamentary speaker considers himself to be a part. It is observed that depending on the context, the explicit pronoun can express solidarity within the group to which the pronoun represents, flatter it or also establish dialectical differences between the group in question and another person or another group of people. The emphasis on differences helps to build the social image of the issuing group. The use of the optional pronoun favours the negotiation of the collective image of the group represented by the speaker and sometimes also implies an effect on the social image of others.
