| Description | The tactile atlas of tram interior layouts offers a practical response to accessibility barriers identified within the project “Accessibility of public transport for people with sensory disabilities” (TA ČR). These barriers result from the wide variety of tram types in operation, which differ in features such as door width, floor height, and the placement of priority seating or stop-request buttons, making orientation more difficult for passengers with visual impairments. As fleet unification is not expected in the near future, the atlas provides an alternative solution. It includes tactile maps of twelve tram types used in Brno’s public transport system at the end of 2025, enabling users to familiarise themselves with vehicle layouts in advance. |
