| Description | This study examines whether access to parental support depends on how adults became unpartnered. Using SHARE Wave 9 data, it shows that parents respond to children's visible biographical transitions (divorce, widowhood), while never-married adults, despite their equivalent unpartnered position, receive no comparable response. |
