Description This presentantion shows a specific research project by the Department of Music Education at the Faculty of Education, Masaryk University, focusing on the use of multimedia and digital technologies in music education at lower and upper secondary schools in the Czech Republic. The research builds on surveys carried out in 2010–2011 and 2017 and tracks the changes that have taken place over the last fifteen years. The aim of the project is to use a CAWI questionnaire survey to ascertain how music teachers utilise modern technologies in their teaching and how they develop the musical and digital competences of pupils and students in accordance with the current and the new, revised Framework Educational Programme (RVP), which is currently being trialled at selected schools. The research also reflects new technological developments, such as the use of artificial intelligence, and maps the level of technical equipment in schools. The data collected will be compared with the results of the previous survey from 2017.
