| Description | The treatment of delirium as an epiphenomenon of a range of conditions involves a whole spectrum of drug classes. Antipsychotics, sedatives and benzodiazepines provide only symptomatic treatment to control aggression and acute agitation. This presentation concerns the links between the pathophysiology of delirium and the pharmacology and clinical pharmacology of antipsychotics, sedatives and benzodiazepines. |
