| Description | Are you a chronic beginner, or are you only just getting round to tackling evaluation? And is it even worth spending time on it in museum practice? At the South Moravian Museum in Znojmo, we tried to find out what happens when evaluation theory clashes with the day-to-day reality of a museum educator. During the workshop, we will share what has worked well for us, what has proved to be a dead end, and where we have come up against limitations. Participants will have the opportunity to try out, in a practical way, simple procedures that can be used as a first step towards evaluation in a museum. We’ll demonstrate how to carry out a one-off survey of your audience and their needs, and how to work with recurring feedback in educational programmes. |
