Description The rats with olfactory bulbectomy (OB rats) show behavioural and endocrine changes resembling those found in human depression. From clinics depressive patients are reported to be more vulnerable towards a consumption of drugs of abuse. Our results confirm the suggestion that OB rats also incline to a greater intake of methamphetamine using the animal model of "i.v. drug self-administration".
