| Description | Bis(difluorooxoiodonium)Selenate.The title compound has been prepared by reaction of iodine pentafluoride with (SeO3)4. Its X-ray single crystal structure analysis revealed a rather covalent than ionic structure with an F2(O)IOSeO2OI(O)F2 molecule. Due to unsaturated coordination of I(V) atoms, every molecule is linked via 4 relatively strong SeO...I interactions to its two nearest neighbours forming corrugated eight-membered rings. These rings are joined by common Se(VI) spiroatoms into infinite chains. |
