Description Molluscs of three National Nature Reserves in the White Carpathians (South-Eastern Moravia) were investigated. In total, 54 (Čertoryje), 48 (Jazevčí) and 29 (Zahrady pod Hájem) species were recorded. Overall these reserves, lying on secondarily decarbonizated, originally forest soils, appear to be very poor in molluscs. Central European mollusc fauna practically does not include species adapted to these habitats. The only favourable habitats for molluscs in the studied reserves are calcareous meadow seepage and slide parts where minerally rich soil comes to surface. Many forest species were also found in fragments of woodland around brooks. Ecological requirements of recorded species are discussed.
