Description Maps of distribution of Hieracium bauhini and H. densiflorum in the Czech Republic were constructed, examination of herbarium specimens and literature data were used. In selected populations were detected chromosome numbers. H. bauhini occurs in the Czech Republic in three ploidy levels: tetraploid (2n = 36, 1 population), pentaploid (2n = 45, 41 populations), and hexaploid (2n = 54, 4 populations). H. densiflorum occurs in the Czech Republic in two ploidy levels: tetraploid (2n = 36, 8 populations) and pentaploid (2n = 45, 2 populations).
