Description Seven different mutations with defects in immature seed development, one in trichome structure and one in flowering-time have been identified during screening of T-DNA collection of Arabidopsis thaliana. The mutations were confirmed to be monogenic and recessive-lethal by genetic analysis. The second group of analysed mutations were those obtained by classical mutagenesis, five of them in flowering-time, three morphological ones and three with chlorophyll defects. In four tested mutations in flowering-time dominant pattern of inheritance were confirmed and the others were recessive. Codominant SSR and CAPS markers were used for molecular mapping of all identified mutations. Methods of 16 SSR and 9 CAPS markers were optimised. Altogether 20 mutant genes, recessive, dominant and with embryonic lethality were localised in linkage groups of A. thaliana.
