Description Results of the measurements carried out in a total of 2180 points in the show caves in the Czech Republic are summarized in this paper. Concentrations of natural radioactive elements (potassium, uranium and thorium) were measured mainly in karst rocks (limestones, dolostones, marbles), sinters, cave soils and fluvial cave sediments. Along with the gamma-spectrometrical measurements, basic petrographic research has been carried out. Chemical analyses of karst rocks and sediments are given by the individual caves.
