Description Paper focus on Czech regulatory policy and protection of economic competition in relation to process of accession to the European union. Due to accession to the EU, Czech legislative framework had to harmonize with the European law, and it affected nearly all of economical subjects. Change of competition law, concretely The Act on the Protection of Competition No 143/2001, changed the conditions of joining of companies, and includes many other subsidiary changes. Also others regulatory institutions, such as , Czech Telecommunication Office, Czech Central Bank and The Energy Regulatory Office, had to prepare to different regime of regulation in the EU. Aim of this article is to analyze and describe the behavior of regulators and regulated in the years which forgo the admission to European union.
