Description The article deals with questions of commuting to the biggest Czech cities. Special attention is focused on the cities of Brno and Plzen. The authors have marked out the commuting hinterland of both cities and confirm, that the number of commuters from the closest upcountry has been decreased in 1990s. On the other hand commuting from further distance to big cities have been meaningfully increasing.
