| Description | The book contains studies which present possibilities for the use of private correspondence in further research (e.g. territorial, social and functional differentiation of contemporary Czech language, classical written vs. electronic correspondence, gender differences). The enclosed CDs contain 2000 classical written letters, 1000 e-mails and 2000 SMS messages from the period 1990 2005. Texts are morphologically tagged and accompanied by a brief sociological characteristics of the writers and addressees, including characteristics of their dialectological background, which is a new feature in Czech corpus linguistics. Digital photocopies of written letters, frequency lists etc. are also included. |
